USS ENTERPRISE - STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE
The most famous spaceship from Film and TV. The first ‘STAR TREK’ feature film produced by GENE RODDENBERRY and directed by ROBERT WISE in 1979 was ‘Star Trek: The Motion Picture’. For the film the Enterprise was given a full refit. The updated design - mostly by Matt Jeffries and Andrew Probert - gave the ship new warp engines as well as many other alterations. In addition the visual effects were given top of the line treatment, being supervised by DOUGLAS TRUMBULL. The ship appears to have a shimmering, almost jewel-like surface. It is absolutely stunning.
Designed by Walter ‘Matt’ Jeffries and Andrew Probert. Visual Effects directed and supervised by Douglas Trumbull
