FIREFOX

Clint Eastwood directed and produced the sci-fi thriller ‘Firefox’ in 1982 from a novel by Craig Thomas. The fictional MiG-31 aircraft was specially designed for the film and was depicted via a full-scale prop for scenes on the ground and several miniatures when in flight. All very ambitious in 1982.

The design of the aircraft generally seems to be attributed to model-maker GREG JEIN who built numerous study models, with possibly some input from WILLIA9M CREBER. I would love any further information on this.
