PROTEUS

The submarine featured in the 1966 sci-fi classic ‘FANTASTIC VOYAGE’ directed by Richard Fleischer This is 1/32nd scale (15” / 40cm long) MOEBIUS Models kit. I did a lot of work to make it accurate to the full-size prop seen in the film. The crew was scratch-built and the hull was extensively rebuilt and reshaped. No aftermarket kits were used.

PS - In the film the ship is miniaturized from its full size of 42 feet long to a 10,000th of an inch. So this kit is a 1;1 scale model from a certain moment in the film. Or is a 150,000/1st scale of the fully miniaturized ship. :)
