MILLENNIUM FALCON

This is the 1/144 BANDAI kit. superbly detailed and engineered.

I added detail to the trench running along the cockpit neck area. This kit was ‘The Force Awakens’ version, with the rectangular dish, but I wanted to model the original version. After a failed attempt at making an accurately detailed ‘round’ dish, I opted to model the ship during the attack on the Death Star in ‘Return of the Jedi’, where the dish gets broken off. I adore this sequence, with some of the best visual effects ever put on film. I made an intentionally simplistic and stylized stand to represent the interior tunnels.
