SUPER - 8 PROJECTOR

Growing up we had a SUPER 8 Projector like this. we used it to watch Home Movies as well as commercially available 10 minutes reels of sequences from Feature Films and TV shows. Our projector had no sound function, but we happily watched reels of ‘The Dambusters’, ‘One Million Years B.C.’ and ‘Star Wars’ - all in Black & White and with subtitles! But this was the days before video recorders, video rentals and of course youtube or streaming services.

If you were feeling very ambitious you could put on the soundtrack album (LP) whilst watching the film. I can still hear the rhythmic clicking of the projector!
