IRWIN ALLEN WINDOWS TO THE FUTURE

Irwin Allen created several successful TV series in the 1960s, all featuring incredible, futuristic vehicles and technology..

This graphic design shows the window, or viewing ports, in anti-clockwise order; the SPINDRIFT (from LAND OF THE GIANTS - 1969) , the SEAVIEW (from VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA - 1961*) the JUPITER 2 (from LOST IN SPACE - 1965) and ‘THE TIME TUNNEL (from THE TIME TUNNEL - 1966).

• The original theatrical feature film ‘Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea’ was released in 1961. And the TV series started airing in 1964. In the 2nd Season, the 8 window configuration was altered to a 4 window arrangement, to accommodate the hangar deck for ‘The Flying Sub’.
