From the Gerry Anderson TV show ‘JOE 90’

The F116 featured in the episode ‘Test Flight’.

It is one of the most memorable of the many ‘guest aircraft’ to appear on the show, with Joe flying the plane with the brain pattern of a test pilot dealing with mental health problems.

The model also appeared in the episode ‘Operation MacLaine’ as a commercial airliner, albeit with some variations . The model was customized again and appeared in an early 1970s episode of ‘Dr Who’. I believe the model was originally created as the F116, but the ‘Dr Who ship’ has details that appear on the F116 and not on the airliner, suggesting the F116 may itself have been a customization of the airliner.
