X-WING FIGHTER & TIE FIGHTER

The X-WING FIGHTER and TIE FIGHTER from ‘Star Wars’ are iconic sci-fi spaceships. This depicts a 1970s era box top in the famous ‘dogfight doubles’ series.

At the time the movie was released there was a kit of an X-WING FIGHTER (approx 1/42nd scale) from MPC, and a (maybe 1/32nd) model of Darth Vader’s special TIE FIGHTER, but it took another 20 years before a regular TIE FIGHTER was available (from AMT approx 1/50th),

Today there are excellent kits in all scales of all almost all of the key Star Wars hardware.
