THE TIME MACHINE from the film ‘THE TIME MACHINE’ (1960) directed by GEORGE PAL based on the novel by H.G.Wells

An all time classic sci-fi movie made by George Pal. A hugely entertaining film, which takes the classic Wells novel and makes it accessible, without losing the core story and ideas (for me anyway). The Machine itself is a tremendous design, an icon of sci-fi cinema and totally looks the part as well as being a thing of beauty. It is clearly a labour of love by its inventor (Rod Taylor) with enough futuristic, and practical, looking gizmos to be believable.

The film’s stop-motion and time-lapse time travel scenes are simplistic by todays standards, but are a joy nonetheless. (the film won an Oscar for Best Special Effects).

The film features a scene with a beautiful 1/12 scale model, with a cigar standing in for the time traveller.

I have imagines this AURORA kit in that same size… cigar not included, but you would get a figure of the intrepid time traveller.
