Raiders of the Lost Ark is a film that needs no introduction. Early in the film we see Indiana Jones boarding the plane and leaving San Francisco. The Short Solent is a an adaptation of the famous Short Sunderland, and as such would not have actually been around in 1936 when the film is set. But this ia great example of the magic of this film. It looks great. It looks like it belongs and it simply works. The film is an adventure and it works better with this anomaly (one of many) than if it had been historically accurate.
