SAM LOOVER’S SALOON
From Gerry Anderson’s ‘JOE 90’
‘Joe 90’ was in many a more down to earth show than its predecessors, with an emphasis on character based action. SAM LOOVER was secret agent from the World Intelligence Network who engaged his friend Professor ‘Mac’ MacLaine to assist with their ‘most special missions’. Using his unique invention the BIG RAT, the professor is able to record an individual’s brain pattern and transfer it to his son JOE. This gives Joe the skill and expertise of that person. Joe was the one typically in the heart of the action while Sam and Mac remained in radio contact.
Sam’s saloon was seen regularly in the show, but alas unlike Lady Penelope’s FAB 1 it did not feature any special accessories or weaponry.
1/32nd was AIRFIX’s scale of choice for cars and similarly sized vehicles. (most other Model Kit manufacturers favour 1/24th or 1/25th. The old faithful swirly silvery grey plastic would be a good choice for this vehicle..
