Anterean Spaceship

From the 1985 movie ‘Cocoon’ directed by Ron Howard

This simple design is a joy to behold. The ship is constantly rotating with a ring of contra-rotating lights pulsing back and forth. The ship is enormous, some 1500 feet across. The central hub has a cone that opens to allow access to and from the ship. In the movie a 36 foot boat, is drawn up into the ship and taken to a better place.

The hull has an incredibly detailed pattern to it - very similar to every modleler’s worst nightmare the ‘aztec panelling’ seen on the movie Starship Enterprise. Possibly this kit could come with some decals to address this. the size is too vast to do a respectable job with any sort of surface details to represent this. It is a simple kit otherwise so they would need to give it something :) Possibly some lights like the movie Enterprise kit… although the Jupiter 2 kits never came with anything supplied.

The shop has a mostly dark grey hull with a purplish or brown hue and several areas picke dout in other colours. It has a sheen to it. S not just a matt greay spaceship. I wonderf colour plastic it could be molded in.
