AIRPORT EMERGENCY SET

As seen in Gerry Anderson’s classic TV Series ‘THUNDERBIRDS’. This set, and this artwork, is very much inspired by AIRFIX’s famous ‘RAF RESCUE SET’, although these vehicles are much larger.

The ambulance may be approx. 3” (7.5cm) with the Fire Tender coming in at closer to 7” or 8” (approx. 20cm.).

I could imagine the Ambulance being sold separately as a Series 1 kit (in one of the clear blister packs?) and the Fire Tender being only available in this set. In much the same was as the ‘RAF bomb trolley’ was only available in the Short Stirling kit.
