BANK OF ENGLAND - Thunderbirds created by Gerry Anderson
Inspired by the episode ‘Vault of Death’. International Rescue fly to London to rescue a man trapped inside the Bank of England’s brand new state of the art vault. The aircraft land at the City Of London Heliport. Although the Heliport is fictitious it si nice to see the Thunderbird machines in actual locations, using civilian resources. The scenes later in the episode where Virgil and Alan and exploring the discussed London Underground tunnels is a treat in itself.
This painting imagines the early morning scenes shortly after Thunderbird 1 and Thunderbird 2 have arrived. It shows some of the recognizable landmarks of the London skyline and includes characters standing on the pad.
